Jack's first UK adventure - Ukrainian Rescue

Ultra Paws founder McKenzie recently joined Jack on one of his growing confidence walks

Jack, originally rescued from Ukraine and now around 8 months into his new life here in the UK, has absolutely thrived within the safety of his home environment. However, stepping beyond the corner of the street once felt impossible for him. Walks were overwhelming, unfamiliar, and filled with uncertainty.

Through patience, consistency, and understanding Jack is beginning to realise the world outside can be exciting rather than frightening. Unlike his sister Maya, who responded best to affection and reassurance, Jack needed a very different approach, plenty of treats, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to help build trust and confidence one step at a time.

It’s a reminder that even siblings with shared histories can need completely individual care and support. Every dog’s journey is different, and at Ultra Paws we tailor every walk around the dog in front of us.

Around 2 minutes 50 seconds into the video there are some incredible aerial shots capturing part of Jack’s adventure and the progress he’s making

Enjoy!
